Beginning
In this project we had to design a logic circuit that will detect a paper jam in a copier. In this project, there was not too many constraints, but there were a few. One of the few constraints was that we had to use AOI logic, the LED had to turn on when the jam occurred and off when it was over, and the buzzer had to sound when the jam occurred and could not go off until a reset switch was engaged.
A minterm "is a product (AND) of the n variables in which each variable is complemented if the value assigned to it is 0, and uncomplemented if it is 1. 1-minterms = minterms for which the function F = 1." according to cs.ucr.edu. Our minterms in the simplified expression are in SOP form (sum of product).

Circuits
1.I didn't use any resistors, as i built the circuit. It worked without them.
2.The purpose of the combinational logic circuit is to create the logic needed so that when the paper blocked two of the light sensors, the buzzer would go off.
3.We have a flip flop gate because, if the preset or the clear is set off it will stay on until the other preset or clear is pushed.
4.The LED goes off but the buzzer stays on because the preset is not true anymore so the flip flop gate will keep the output of 1 until the clear is set off, where it will stay off until the preset is triggered.

Conclusion
This project is different from the other projects because we are actually working a machine than just hooking the pld circuit to a board and watching the display. Also the last projects had to deal with counters this has nothing to do with counting numbers.
I learned how a copier jam detector works and i also learned how to calculate Boolean algebra better. Lastly i learned how to create the multi sim better.
